My Favorite Teacher Contest
The North Carolina Federation of Republican Women recently named the winner of its 2007 “My Favorite Teacher” Award. This award is sponsored nationally by the National Federation of Republican Women.
Both retired and current teachers are eligible to receive this award. Teachers must have a minimum of five years teaching experience, and may be male or female. Nominations may be submitted by any third party.A panel of local and state leaders reviewed all nominations.
The winner of the “My Favorite Teacher” Award was announced at the NCFRW Convention in Chapel HIll, N.C. The winner of the NCFRW My Favorite Teacher Award is eligible to participate in the program at the national level. The winner of the National Federation of Republican Women’s “My Favorite Teacher” Award will be chosen by a panel of judges and be honored at NFRW’s 34th biennial convention in Palm Springs, CA in September 2007.
The “My Favorite Teacher” Award began in 2001 during the No Child Left Behind State Summits, hosted by NFRW. The purpose of the award is to acknowledge those outstanding teachers across America that have encouraged students to dream big.
